Bandages and MAYBE Crutches

Not only did I have to use a bandage around my ankle, I had to use crutches for a whole day. This happened not quiet a long time ago. Last week, I suppose. Yet amazingly, it all happened in Drama Class.

It all started when I climbed up the stairs with my food in my hand. I looked up and I saw everyone waiting for our lovely teacher to open the door into the classroom. Just as soon as I was near the door, still eating my food, suddenly all those people walked into the classroom, taking their time. There I stood surprised as my friend told me to hurry up. I had no choice but to stuff this food into my mouth and down my throat, and so I did. I walked in the room with my mouth filled with food. Once the teacher saw me, she told me to swallow it, I tried but it was too hard. I looked around for a bottle of water and not so long after, my eyes was hooked on my friend for he was drinking water. I grabbed the bottle and drank it, as a support to swallow the food inside my mouth.

Moving on, as a warm-up, we all, together as a class, played a quite fun game. The name of the game, I forgot. Although I'm pretty sure it has something to do with...slide, bananas, and peanuts. I partnered up with my dear friend, Sal and we got numbered 7-surely, my best, lucky, and happy number. The teacher calls out our number, 7, about 3 times, and I won all of them. It was funny and dangerous at the same time. Funny because people's reaction when the teacher calls out their number or when they lose or win. Dangerous for me because at the 3rd time, that's the moment...I sprained my dear ankle.

I spent the whole class time, jumping up and down, twisting my ankle, doing anything I could to make it at least a little bit better. Once the class ended, it was the end of school for some people but not me, for I have to attend to a rehearsal for the play. Anyways, I was limping everywhere I go, down the stairs, to my locker, everywhere. Before I limp off to the music room 4, I took a visit down the nurse. There the nurse wrapped up my ankle with a white bandage. I walked around the room, trying to see if I walk better. I looked up, and the nurse wasn't there. I tried looking for her but I can't move my feet too fast. I stood still and out of the blue, heard a voice behind me. I turned around slowly, and saw the nurse handing me a crutch. Uh-oh, no way. I didn't want to use it, but I can't reject it either. So I just accept it, took my stuff, had a little trouble at the door and thanks to the school principal for helping me out. I wonder what everyone is going to say about this...I thought, walking to my locker with my crutch as a support for my feet.

So I had suffered for 2 or 3 days. Crippled if you like. But now, I'm healed...just not 100% yet.

I enjoyed reading about how you hurt your ankle. I'd love to hear more about the game--sounded like you were having fun. I am glad you are walking normally again.
