eM-Wee :)

Getting to know your peers, respect, and having lots of fun. A week in Merapoh, filled with tears and laughter and sweet moments that I will cherish. I spent my week with different people, with different personalities, coming from different countries, and in different grades…

That past week, we stick together and survived through the week in the jungle. We shared everything we had with each other; our water, food, money, energy bars, clothes, cards, shampoo, deodorant, conditioner, sleeping bags, combs, dorms, smiles, laughter, and love. We told each other secrets, stories, jokes, and each other’s memories of our lives. We even sang songs with and to each other. Good times…

We all learned different things from that certain week; cup game, culture, each other’s personalities and point of views, and most importantly, respect. Sure was fun, spending one single week with all these people. Getting the chance to know them even better. Experiencing something that is barely done together. Though those leeches climb up onto all of us to suck our blood multiple of times, we still stand strong and face it all, surviving and awaits for the last day.

Even though, maybe in school now, we barely talk again. But not me, I still smile at those people, say hey, and even start a conversation with them from time to time. Although it’s just Malaysia Week that I will continue to face through middle school, those bitter-sweet moments, filled with tears, joy, laughter, arguments, of that week I will cherish for while now.
